Eating Grapes With the Devil

This piece is called "Eating Grapes With the Devil." I know some of you have already seen this piece. However, I wanted to know if anyone knows what is meant by the title? Oh yes, there is a meaning. So, if you think you have the answer, by all means, write it down. I am interested in knowing what others think or feel.

  1. Firstly, this is a lovely piece! I also like that while serving as a visual aesthetic, it also entices the viewer with thought provoking imagery. What is nice about the particulars of this piece is that it would depend upon the individual interpretation of its audience.

As for me, temptation is at the fore of my mind when I look at this piece.

The Devil offers succulent fruit in an outstretched arm. Meanwhile hellfire swarms and pitches below him; reared and ready to consume the sinner should he partake of the fruit. Also, the use of handwritten looking script sitting in the background is interesting. Perhaps it eludes to a secret contract one is obliviously entering into with the Devil upon receiving his forsaken offering?

Forgive me if I've warped the intention of your work horribly XD I do enjoy this piece quite a bit though. Lovely job!
